Occupying a space of over 10,000 square meters, the Borges is located within Galerías Pacifico—a prestigious building dating back to the end of the 19th century and considered a historical national monument in Argentina.

The goal of the Borges Cultural Center is to support and promote cultural and artistic expression, advance education in its areas of interest, and to promote Argentina’s historical, cultural, and artistic heritage both domestically and abroad. Visitors can enjoy a wide array of cultural activities, such as art exhibits, music, dance, films, theatre, literature, and various educational programs.

Following the example of the Bom Marché in Paris, Francisco Seeber and Emilio Bunge created the Argentine Bom Marché Argentino at the end of the last century. Their European-styled creation embodied the best of the period’s architectural trends. Florida Street was chosen as the optimal location in which to construct this exceptional building of glass arches, inter-crossing paths, and an elegant central dome.

On December 25, 1896, the Fine Arts Museum was established inside the Galerías Pacífico building. As is sometimes the case with large-scale projects, the building suffered the impact of several historical events that took place in Argentina during its construction. In 1908, circumstances forced part of the structure to be sold to the Buenos Aires railway system. In 1945, architects Jorge Aslan and Héctor Ezcurra remodelled the building according to this partition, dividing the space between the gallery/stores, and the administrative offices for the railway company employees.

The inclusion of mural paintings by Spilimbergo, Berni, Castagnino, Colmeiro and Urruchua capped off the building’s restoration, and added colour and life to the 450 square meter dome.

The project also experienced numerous other problems and inconveniences, including extended periods of time in which its construction was halted. Finally, in 1989, the building was declared a national historical monument and was later granted to Galerías Pacífico S.A. On October 18, 1995 the Borges Cultural Center was established inside.

Ponte Vecchio, Florence

in

ON THE ROAD: TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY

Exhibition dates: Jan 17 - Feb. 11, 2012

My Grateful thanks to the juror Sandra Chen Weinstein and Kirsten and Rick at Photo Place Gallery!

Travel enables us to broaden our horizons, and photographing while on the road encourages us to look with special attention at the people and places we encounter. For ON THE ROAD: TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY, juror Sandra Chen Weinstein chose forty photos for exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery. She also selected an additional thirty-five photos for the gallery’s "On-Line Annex." All selected work will be included in a full-color exhibition catalogue available for purchase. To help artists defray costs, PhotoPlace Gallery offers to mat and frame work selected for exhibition free of charge, providing artists print their images to our pre-cut mat and frame sizes.

Sandra Chen Weinstein is an award-winning independent documentary photographer living in Orange County California. Originally from Taiwan, she has worked and lived in various countries throughout Asia. She is a self taught photographer and has received numerous national and international awards and exhibitions for her artwork.

Juror Statement:
It is an honor to be the juror for this competition and see these amazing images from the many different photographers sharing their vision of travel and passion for the medium of photography. With more than 900 hundred images to review, it was a challenging, even daunting task to select only 75 images for the gallery and online exhibitions. There were a handful of images that really stood out and yet, choosing the top 40 was not easy. The selection features so many areas in which contemporary photography is focused: travel, landscapes, portraits, personal projects, and abstract images. There are some striking single images throughout. All through the hours I spent reviewing the submissions, I especially would like to mention the artists Corey Hendrickson, Michael Sibilia, Frank Armstrong, and Kasey Hembel who presented strong series from what I imagine are wonderful bodies of work. Even though I could not include all the photographers in the final selection I want to congratulate those whose works were selected for "On The Road" and all the entrants who submitted work. I would also like to thank PhotoPlace for inviting me to be the juror for this year exhibition. I truly enjoyed seeing what people are doing and thank you for the experience.

Sandra Chen Weinstein, Lake Forest, California

Gallery hours: Tuesdays through Fridays 11-4; Saturdays: 10-2. By appointment only on Sundays and Mondays.

http://www.vtphotoworkplace.com

Cinque Terre, Italy

The Built Environment

12/27/2011 - 1/20/2012

Vermont Photo Space Gallery

My grateful thanks to the juror Norman McGrath; and Ken and the fine folks at Vermont Photo Space Gallery!

Images that capture a vision of the man made world around us. We’ve been documenting the built environment since the beginnings of photography. It’s natural - our lives are entwined with and dependent upon structures of all kinds. Let us examine the genius designs, abundant materials both found and fabricated, engineering feats, beauty and function, of our constructed environments. Technical mastery has much to do with a great architectural photograph, but also an understanding of the architect’s vision, and/or the humanity that invigorates and utilizes its spaces. Whether a skyscraper or a shed, chasm span or walking bridge, from convenience store to industrial complex, public or personal (heck, an outhouse is a pertinent structure), and even the remains of such, we’re looking forward to featuring your built environments.

Norman McGrath

Juror Statement:
It is always interesting to see new and different interpretations of my favorite subject: architecture. This selection was not a disappointment. As is always true there is a wide variation in the level of computer skill evident. I am not an expert on this department, but it is nevertheless apparent that many photographers have mastered a high degree of expertise with Photoshop. However, several of the entrants did not exercise enough care to ensure that their compositions were correctly exposed, with some areas washed-out. This of course, could be easily corrected but did nevertheless eliminate a couple of otherwise worthy entries. All in all, a very handsome competition. Thank you for inviting me to judge it.

juror's website: http://www.normanmcgrath.com/

(Yes, that is what I do in my other life.) I was entering "numbers" into the various tax forms when it hit me. I see them all day long all over my computer screen. Why not see what a photographer can do with "numbers". So, interpret as you please. Nothing really has to "add up".

Forty five to fifty images will be selected for exhibition. A Blurb catalogue of the exhibit with all accepted entries will be available for purchase. Awards are $250 for Jurors Choice, $250 Directors Choice Award from the gallery director, $100 for Visitors Choice and five Honorable Mentions.

From the foothills of the Canadian Rockies in Southern Alberta where she grew up, to the ranches and wildflower fields of Texas she now calls home, Carol Watson's art fittingly unearths a fairy-tale beauty that can only be found on the borders of visible light and the imagination. Totally self-taught, Carol started experimenting with digital photography and has since explored film, lomography, Holga and digital infrared photography. Her background in mathematics and computer technology led her to embrace the digital darkroom where most of her post-processing takes place.

Currently, Carol operates Watson Studio Gallery from her studios in Austin, Blanco (Texas) and Mineral de Pozos, Mexico. In the corporate world, Carol works as an IT Manager at National Instruments in Austin, TX. Open to all types of photography and photography-based mixed media artworks. Entries are judged on the following: artistic merit, use of the elements and principles of art and design, as well as artistic impact and story-telling and technical proficiency (includes proper use of light). We're looking for the best, most visually intriguing photography we can find. We have a distinguished panel of judges. All entries are judged anonymously and are accepted only through our electronically submission system.
============================================

2) Amanda Smith Gallery: Deadline: 24th January 2011

sim-plic-i-ty : absence of complication, clarity, clean lines, clearness, straightforwardness, uncluttered, freedom from intricacy or complexity.

Many famous and talented artist, writers and thinkers have found reason to make statements concerning "simplicity". Leonardo da Vinci quotes "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication". According to Longfellow, "In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity". Plato writes "Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity".

When I photograph, I have always tried to look at whatever is in front of my camera and narrow the frame down to include only the relevant information, always keeping in mind the element that caught my eye in the first place. Removing the distractions is not easy, but can make for a strong, interesting image. Walt Whitman says it most distinctly, "Simplicity is the glory of expression".

Forty five images will be selected for exhibition and a Blurb full color catalogue of the exhibit with all the accepted images will be available for purchase. Awards are $250 for Jurors Choice, $250 Creativity Award to be chosen by the gallery director, $100 for Visitors Choice and five Honorable Mentions.

Robert Hecht has been chosen to be the juror of "Simplicity". Robert holds a degree from Seton Hall University in Communication Arts. He began photographing in the mid-1960's when his good friend, New York photographer Fred Price, put a camera in his and taught him how to use it. His work has been exhibited through out both the United States and Europe and has been included in numerous publications. With his wife, Dale Harrison Miller, he owns and operates a video-multimedia production company, On Point Productions, in San Rafael, California. Robert's portfolio "Auto-Reflective" is featured in the current issue of LensWork.

Creativity is encouraged.

Gallery Email:
director@asmithgallery.com

Gallery Hours:
Friday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
And by appointment

Personal website for Amanda Smith Photographs:
http://www.asmithphotographs.com/

============================================

Category Alternative Processes (single):
1st Prize: Spacetime Event 1

Category Macro and Micro (single):
1st Prize: Manarola Cinque Terre Italy 2

David H Wells' Juror Statement - September Contest, The Pollux Awards

I enjoyed jurying the WPGA competition immensely. It gave me a window into the incredibly varied universe of different ways photography is practiced today. Though I work as an editorial photographer, I enjoyed seeing work beyond my own specialty. I tried to evaluate the work on the most basic level, asking myself over and over, is this image compelling me to consider something differently than before I saw the image? Another way of approaching the work was to ask, does this work provoke an emotional, intellectual or psychological reaction in me beyond my simply recognizing what I am seeing?

As I looked through the work, I was reminded that, as an educator I always approach anything I do in the world of photography as a teachable moment and this was certainly one.

As someone who studied the history of photography, I know the incredible diversity of image making styles and strategies that have been used throughout the history of the medium. It was thrilling to see so many of those different styles and strategies being so widely applied in the work I reviewed. Though I do not know for certain, but I am assuming, most of the work I was reviewing involved digital capture (and most likely digital post-production and output.) The pleasant surprise is the fact that so many photographers have mastered digital imaging to the point where they can make images with dozens of different stylistic approaches very easily.

Unfortunately, some of the imagery announced itself as digital in an obvious and problematic way. However, in most of the work, whatever digital imaging techniques were used looked to be done so in support of the image and the message, rather than overwhelming it.

Some work showed an extraordinary commitment to a given subject matter, to a stylistic approach or to both. The winners were usually obvious, in the sense that they utilized many of the more successful imaging strategies that I will explore below. In some way, the really weak work was equally easy to spot and discard. For me, the hardest part was the work that was in the middle, the work that kept prompting me to say to myself “almost.”

I was keeping notes as I viewed, re-viewed and then judged and then finally scored the work. My process was to look at all of the work in one category, so I knew everything that had been submitted. Then I went through and accepted or rejected the work in that one category. Then I went to do something else, to let that work slowly fade in my mind’s eye. Then I would revisit the work to rate the accepted images, starting by looking at all of the work in a category, so I knew all the work that I had accepted. Then I went through and scored the work.

The notes I made as I went through this process are things I would tell anyone considering submitting work for a photo contest:
· Look objectively at the categories and place your work where it goes based on your first, visceral reaction to the work. (Or, you might ask someone you respect, what is his or her first reaction to the work.) Do NOT over-intellectualize the categorization by focusing on some small aspect of the image to enter it, for example, in the environmental category when the image is clearly a nature photo. This was especially frustrating for me, because images that I rejected in one category might have done very well were they in the right category.
· When making photographs and deciding which to submit for a contest, publication, portfolio, etc., think about how the best in any genre take the viewer somewhere new emotionally, physically, psychologically, etc. The key to much great art is showing the viewer something they have not seen (or have not thought of looking at “that way.”)
· Another way of thinking of this is to not simply show the viewer what a person, place or thing looked like. Show them what it feels like to be that person, to be in that place or to be part of that event, etc.
· Just showing up in a visually stimulating place does not guarantee a great photo. Getting to certain remote parts of the third world is something of an accomplishment, but that is not enough. The art in the best images from the third world were the ones that gave the viewer the experience of what those places felt like rather than just looked like!
· Fine art is not the dumping ground where you put imagery that fits no other obvious category. Fine-art imagery is usually about authorship, aesthetics and emotion. While the best ones have those components, they also are technically and aesthetically well executed.
· In organizing work for any kind of project submission, such as this kind of contest, keep in mind that too many images that look too similar will dilute your entry. Images that look too different from others in the set will also disrupt the continuity that is at the core of a good project. It is definitely a balancing act.

I hate to make generalizations, but I noted that the professional submissions generally showed higher technical skills and image execution. On the other hand, the non-professionals were often as adventurous if not more so than the professionals, in bending the rules and imaging conventions to make interesting projects. This suggests that doing photography for a living can constrain one’s thinking and creativity.

The lesson in all of this is that if your work was rejected and something that you think of as similar to yours was accepted (or even won an award,) try to understand why. In the case of projects, for example, was the winner’s entry more tightly edited, visually cohesive or stylistically unified than your submission? Griping is one possible reaction, but clearly analyzing what your worked lacked in comparison to the winners is key step in getting better as a photographer.
The prizes you might win in this competition (or any other) are nice. The real prize is getting better as a photographer. That prize is there for ANY photographer willing to look at the winners (and their own work) analytically, even critically. An award is a momentary thing, but creative growth lasts forever.

Second only to the female form as a favorite subject, food remains our constant companion and a sensory, perhaps even sensual, sidekick to our collective photographic psyche.

From the fine art photos of Edward Weston's peppers and the frozen food portraits of Irving Penn, to the repressed sexuality of beer, spirits and soft drink photography in advertising, to the ubiquitous "serving suggestion" images of industrial product photography, or even the "eat me now" snapshots of food bloggers and Facebook, culinary photography surrounds us both literally and figuratively, and is, we feel, ripe for artistic exploration (exploitation?).
This Month, just in time for Thanksgiving (a food porn bacchanal if ever there was one!), 1650 welcomes your take on EAT ME and the frontiers of food photography.

So dust off your fruits, grains and vegetables, frost that mug of beer and once more try to set the correct exposure for that tricky "fried egg on a white plate" because EAT ME is coming!

Irving Penn Loves to Eat
http://meallennium.blogspot.com/2008/08/irving-penn-loves-to-eat-too.html

Juror: Courtney Gordon,
fine art photographer based in Los Angeles currently working towards a Graduate degree, MFA of Photography, from the Academy of Art University.

1650 GALLERY & STUDIO : MISSION STATEMENT

1650 Gallery & Studio is a fine art photographic center in the heart the Echo Park arts district of Los Angeles. 1650 Gallery & Studio's mission is to provide creative services, gallery exhibitions and community outreach to photographers far and wide. 1650 Gallery hosts a juried photo exhibition every month with a different creative theme and offers the selected prints for sale in the gallery as well as online. The studio and gallery is a constantly evolving creative project and we welcome your comments and suggestions!
1650gallery @gmail.com

1650 Echo Park Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90026

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS 2

in

UNCANNY: SURREAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Exhibition dates: Dec. 16th - Jan. 14th

My Grateful thanks to the juror Russell Joslin, editor SHOTS magazine and Kirsten and Rick at Photo Place Gallery!

Photography often astonishes us with its ability to record surface appearances with remarkable accuracy. But it is also a medium that permits profound introspection through the creation of dream-like, fantastic, surreal images.

For UNCANNY: SURREAL PHOTOGRAPHY, juror Russell Joslin chose forty photos for exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery from December 16th through January 14th. He also selected an additional thirty-five photos for the gallery’s "Online Annex." All selected work will be included in a full-color exhibition catalogue available for purchase.

Juror's Statement:
During the process of making my selections for the Uncanny: Surreal Photography exhibition, I was reminded of the ability of photography, as a medium, to relate to the subconscious and of its kinship with the dream world. Though photography is often considered a means to convey what is real, it also has the ability to convey and suggest the unseen, imaginary or mysterious. Many of the photographers whose work I considered and ultimately chose for this exhibition seem to have a strong intuitive sense of this, and I was fascinated by their various interpretations of the theme. I hope that viewers will be equally surprised and captivated with the works presented here.
-Russell Joslin, October 31, 2011

Gallery hours: Tuesdays through Fridays 11-4; Saturdays: 10-2. By appointment only on Sundays and Mondays.
Reception: Oct, 14th, 5-7 pm, Middlebury Arts Walk

http://www.vtphotoworkplace.com

We need only show up with our cameras! But, how do we translate our personal visions of the natural world, through our photographic tools, and then to our audience?

Each of our relationships to nature is highly personal – we want to see yours. From the tonal depths of an Ansel Adams expansive environment, to the quiet pictorial gestures of an Edward Steichen moment, to contemporary masters’ views, such as our Juror George DeWolfe, who’s contemplative designs on natural beauty insight envy and inspiration. We’re looking for the kind of variety that is in nature herself. Sky’s the limit using contemporary methods, photographic paraphernalia, and a limitless bag of tricks, so whether your landscapes display a traditional approach, leave us questioning reality, or all that is in between, we can’t wait to see your version of this heaven we call Earth.

Juror's Statement:

I found this a very enjoyable show to judge and the entries were all excellent. The ones I picked were based largely on composition and mood, with technical considerations weeding out most of the ones that were poorly exposed, over processed, blurred for lack of a tripod, etc. I always search for ones that I know were some trouble to make in which the photographer had many compositional and technical choices. Criteria for general landscape images was usually a well composed foreground, middle ground and background, but exceptions were made, especially in the case of mood.
George DeWolfe

Open to Interpretation: Intimate Landscape, 2012

Bridge at Halong Bay, Vietnam

Intimate Landscape issue of Open to Interpretation

A publication that pairs photography with prose and poetry.

Landscapes conjure images of vast, sweeping scenes, but the details captured by a photograph can turn a seemingly impersonal setting into an intimate story. It's up to the artist to define what constitutes an intimate landscape, be it representational, non-representational, urban, suburban or rural.

My grateful thanks to the juror Karen Irvine and to Clare O'Neill, Creator + Manager!

30 images out of 1,500 were chosen for the publication.

Each volume of Open to Interpretation represents a unique collaboration between photographers and writers. The content for each book is sought via two distinct calls for entry/submissions:

Photography "Call for Entry." After judging takes place, the selected images will be posted online.

Writing "Call for Submissions." After viewing the selected photographs online, writers craft and submit an interpretation of an image in poetry or prose. Two written works will be selected for each photograph. All writers are welcome to submit work provided it is written in English, not more than 300 words, and submitted via email. All work must be original and previously unpublished, either in print or electronically.

The collaboration will result in a published book.

Photography Judge

Karen Irvine is Curator and Manager of Publications of the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago. She has organized over thirty five exhibitions at the MoCP and other institutions and written essays for numerous artist monographs and publications including Art on Paper and Contemporary. Irvine is a part time instructor of photography at Columbia College Chicago. She received an MFA in photography from FAMU, Prague, Czech Republic, and an MA in art history from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Open to Interpretation judges are asked to choose
photographs that speak to them, that have something to say, and/or tell a story. Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. All work is reviewed anonymously by the judge and decisions are final.

Clare O'Neill, Creator + Manager:

"The comment I heard most often regarding my work was "the image tells a story" but I was never sure what story it was telling. When I started to ask I realized that people had their own wildly different interpretations of the images.

Open to Interpretation was the name of my first solo exhibit. There were 12 images and 24 different stories and poems. Friends wrote some of the stories and some were written by people I had never met before the exhibition opening.

I found the interaction between the image and text combined in such a way that the two of them together were greater than either of them independently. At first I just thought it was an interesting twist to an exhibition but found the words added another dimension to the work - allowing me to rediscover the image in ways that I had never imagined.

I'm a tactile person. I love having something to touch and hold. I love books. Beautifully designed and produced books. I find there to be physical connection with the work that doesn't exist when viewing images hanging on the wall. It feels more intimate with a lasting appeal.

I'm also an entrepreneur and find myself creating arts based programs and events. Somewhere, somehow I've always wanted to be part of a creative publishing service. This juried book competition was born of that first solo exhibition - an opportunity for photographers, writers and poets to collaborate and be part of something bigger than themselves.

I'm looking forward to all your interpretations."

Photography Results Posted Online: November 1, 2011
Poetry & Prose Submissions Open: November 14, 2011
Final Deadline: March 14, 2012
Submission Fees: $15 per entry
Poetry + Prose Results Posted Online: March 28, 2012
Scheduled Book Launch: May 2012

info@open2interpretation.com

SUMMER, the theme of our second photo contest for 2011, inspired 545 photographers from 24 countries—including Cambodia, Costa Rica, Hungary, Israel, Korea, Latvia, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam—to submit 1985 images that captured, embraced, or defined the personality of summer. Jurors Kathy Ryan, Scott Thode, Katherine Ware, and Sean Kernan reviewed this body of inspired interpretations and chose 50 award-winning photographs.

Color or black-and-white, an object, a person, a location, a moment—the magic of summer lingers in these images. We congratulate the winners, we thank one and all for entering, and send a special thanks to the jurors and sponsors of SUMMER.

SUMMER Winners

GRAND PRIZE
Energy: Suhaimi Abdullah

SECOND PRIZE
Econfina: Romona Robbins

THIRD PRIZE
Playing with Sun: Fernando Garcia

DIRECTOR'S AWARD
Graciela 2: Carl Moore

Honorable Mentions

Night Swimming: Cynthia Wood, San Francisco, California

Cutting Down Trees: Courtney Reardon, Atlanta, Georgia

Sunburn: Wynn Myers, Austin, Texas

Boys on Portage: Miriam Doan, Chicago, Illinois

Stoking the Fire: Lindsey Ross, Santa Barbara, California

Close Encounter: Ron Henderson, Dallas, Texas

Vintage Yellow: Kathleen Wilke, Dallas, Texas

Seagulls: Debora Schwedheim, Tampa, Florida

Yard Sale: Kat Ryals, Nashville, Tennessee

Poolside: Thomas Johnson, Lakewood, California

Greenhouse: Juli Gauthier, Wheaton, Illinois

Sky Song: David Mayhew, Fort Collins, Colorado

Tea Party: Edith Gould, New York, New York

Legs: Georgina Reskala, Santa Monica, California

Fireworks Finale: Eric Rennie, Cromwell, Connecticut

Summer Under the London Eye: Birgit Neiser, Warngau, Germany

If It Would All Please Hurry 3: Ashley West Leonard, Los Angeles, California

Laundry: Kristy Carpenter, Bronson, Michigan

Veronica, Beach: Alyson Aliano, Los Angeles, California

Walking on the Water (Moods): Carolina Sanchez-Monge, The Hague, Netherlands

Open Window: Carol MacLeod, Cape Porpoise, Maine

Summer in the City: Patricia Sweeney, New York, New York

Race to the Top: Doug Scaletta, Orlando, Florida

Two Women, Clinch River, Tennessee: Mark Hedengren, Provo, Utah

I See The Future In His Eyes: Jolene Grabill, Topeka, Kansas

Sunset Flip: Chani Devers, Oak Park, Michigan

South Padre Island: Polly Chandler, Austin, Texas

Northern Vortex: Joshua Black, Eielson AFB

Lo and Luke in the Curtains, 2011: Winky Lewis, Portland, Maine

Swim Suits: Laurie McCormick, Los Angeles, California

+38° 6' 15.91, -122° 50' 20.14: Nicolo Sertorio, Oakland, California

Declan with Leaf: Laurie Rubin, Chicago, Illinois

Plaits: Kat Moser, Omaha, Nebraska

First Practice: Laura Joyce-Hubbard, Highland Park, Illinois

Clover Eye: Mary Hobbs, Corrales, New Mexico

Dance: Lev Gorn, New York, New York

Family Trip: Jose Antonio Gomez, Las Vegas, Nevada

Dog Tired: Magdalena Donahue, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Swimmers Miami Beach: Charles Corda, Coconut Grove, Florida

Lil Wrangler: Leslie McKellar, Charleston, South Carolina

Nomad: Hugh Jones, Arlington, Virginia

Last Day: Lindsay Morris, Sag Harbor, New York

Playtime: Susan Londoner, Los Angeles, California

Mother Tree:Patrick Tehan, Aptos, California

Beget:Tom Reese, Seattle, Washington

Two Chairs (Absence): Susan Bryant, Clarksville, Tennessee

PRIZES

The Workshops is grateful to our educational partners and sponsors who have contributed to an impressive prize list with a total value of over $13,000. The geometry of light and shadow creates an interplay of mystery, possibility, and the foreboding that accompanies paths of the unknown.

This October, as Halloween looms large on the horizon, 1650 visits THE DARK SIDE: A Juried Exhibit of Night Photography. Photographic greats such as Brassai, George Tice, Peter Hujar, Weegee and Robert Brook are just a few examples of those who have contributed great works in the genre of night photography. This month, at 1650, it is your turn.

Juror: Joshua Hess
http://www.joshuahessdp.com/ Joshua Hess is a Swiss born cinematographer and still photographer based in Los Angeles. He is currently working on a large scale stills project of night photography.
