The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards announces the overall winners and awardees of the 2011 WPGA Annual Pollux Awards (www.thegalaawards.com)

Juried by Tim Anderson, Dina Bova, Julio Hardy, Amber Terranova, Larry Padgett and David H Wells. Award Director: Julio Hardy

20,320 images were received from 72 countries, in 6 monthly consecutive contests, whose results were merged to select the overall awardees.

WPGA congratulates the winning artists and all those contestants who have participated in this 3rd edition of The Pollux Awards. Awarded works will be invited to exhibit their works at The Palais de Glace in Buenos Aires, from January 19th to February 15th, 2012. (See details of the exhibition in Palais de Glace Exhibition.) Those artists invited to exhibit will be receiving a personalized email on November 10th, being asked to donate one copy of their prints to Save the Children and Fleni. Exhibited prints will be auctioned at the end of the exhibition and the net proceeds of the sales (excluding printing and framing costs, which will be reimbursed to the respective artists) will be donated to the foundations Save the Children and Fleni.

The WPGA Pollux Award 2011 in the Professional Section (Photographer of the Year) has been awarded jointly to:
